SPECIALIZED PDS/RES INSPECTION

For Foreign Investors

 As a foreign investor purchasing into a Property Development Scheme (PDS), Real Estate Scheme (RES), or a Smart City Development you will require peace of mind that what you are delivered is snag free and in terms of the contractual architectural specifications. We have developed a product and inspection list that ensures a comprehensive inspection of your investment. The report we generate can be used as your point of reference to instruct the Developer/Contractor to attend to the aspects we have identified. Our checklist encompasses various individual items that need to be checked and inspected by our qualified inspectors.

RE-INSPECTION

Once you have had the Developer or Contractor attend to the aspects highlighted in our initial report we offer a service where we will visit and verify that all the aspects as noted have been satisfactorily completed. We charge for this service on a per visit basis once the Developer/Contractor advises that the identified aspects have been attended to.

RESIDENTIAL CONTRACTOR ONE-YEAR WARRANTY INSPECTION

Most builders for new homes include a one-year Contractor’s warranty with the sale of their houses. A homeowner may want to have a professional inspection done on their home before the contractor’s warranty expires. The homeowner can then pass the report on to their contractor for adjustments, repairs or replacements as required.

NEW BUILD SNAG-LIST INSPECTION

This Snag List Inspection/New Construction inspection is a detailed inspection to confirm the completion and correct workmanship of a completed building job at said property. This inspection is designed to report, in list or number format, all items still to be completed, or not completed properly according to a pre-determined scope of work or mandate, after a building job. This snag list is not intended to be a CODE inspection and may not include all of the cosmetic, personal aesthetic requirements of a client, but will list observed material problems as a result of incorrectly installed systems or accessible components of the building work requested by the client. The report will list, for the contractor, all observed items that require attention.

RESIDENTIAL BUYER INSPECTION

Buy with confidence knowing you understand the investment you are about to make. This is our typical home inspection report that highlights common defects to focus on and areas of concern. Our buyer’s home inspections are comprehensive. We will do an inspection of the home you are interested in buying, and assess its condition using our multi-point home inspection checklist.

SELLER’S PRE-LISTING INSPECTION

Some homeowners want to make repairs to their home before they put their property on the market and will make repairs using our inspection report as a baseline reference. If you are listing your home on the market in Mauritius and would like to have its condition assessed beforehand, Home Inspection Ltd is here to help. Our pre-listing home inspections include the same services as our buyer’s home inspections.
